He completes more than four times the annual amount of continuing education classes required by the state dental boards. Not only did he receive his DDS from the prestigious Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, but he also served as a member of Loma Linda's part-time clinical faculty.
Dr. Meyer has completed two Implant Residency Programs.

Dr. Eric Cho
Dr. Eric Cho is currently the clinical Associate proffessor at the Ostrow school of Dentistry of University of South California,department of Advanced Periodontology. He holds a D.D.S in from the USC School of Dentistry . He trained an began his career as a periodontist at the University of South California and specializes in periodontics and implant dentistry.
Leonard J Plaitano. DMD
Dr. Plaitano was born in the Western Pennsylvania City of Jeannette, about 30 miles west of Pittsburgh. It was a blue collar industrial city known for its manufacturing of glass and rubber products. All of his elders were Italian immigrants and one grandfather worked in the glass factory and the other was a shoemaker. After attending a local High School, he went to a small liberal arts school in central Pennsylvania, Juniata College, where he graduated in 1983 with a BS in Biology. He was then accepted into the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he then graduated in 1987 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Degree.
Immediately after graduation, Dr. Plaitano became an Associate for a private General Dentistry practice in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and Hagerstown, Maryland for three years. In 1 990, he was selected for a Commission in the United States Naval Dental Corps. His duty assignments included the Navy Boot Camp in Orlando, Florida. He was chosen to be the Dental Department Head on board the USS Saipan LHA-2 where he was the sole Dental Officer for over 1000 Navy & Marine Personnel. During this assignment, he deployed on (2) Six-Month Deployments, one to the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm. And the following year to the Adriatic Sea in support of the Bosnia No-Fly Zone. He then took and assignment as a staff general dentist at the Navy Dental Center Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. One of his prime directives was the Fleet Dental Liaison where he was the Officer-in-Charge of the Mobile Dental Unit that provided dental services to the crews of the Naval Ships assigned to Pearl Harbor as well as the Nuclear Powered Attack Submarines.
In 1997, Dr. Plaitano was accepted into the Endodontic Residency at the University of Buffalo, New York. He successfully completed the residency in 1 999, graduating number one out of the four residents in his class. Upon graduation, he was assigned as one of two Endodontist assigned to the Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Californa. There, he was responsible for the endodontic needs of over 35,000 Marines & Sailors in the base. As well as referrals from the local Air Force, Army & National Guard bases that had no endodontic services. During this time, the Marines from the 1 st Marine Division were heavily involved in combat with units continuously deployed to Iraq & Afghanistan. In addition, he was also in charge of the Navy AEGD & GPR Students assigned to those Programs while stationed at Camp Pendleton, as the Clinical Instructor in Endodontics for eight years. His final assignment was a Staff Endodontist at the Marine Corps Recruiting Depot (Boot Camp), in San Diego, California where he provided endodontic services to the Drill Instructors, Recruits & Staff at the Depot.
In 2013, Dr. Plaitano retired after serving his Country for 23 years from the United States Dental Corps at the Rank of Commander (05), with an Honorable Discharge. During his very successful career, he was Awarded (3) Navy Commendation Medals, a Navy Achievement Medal, (2) National Defense Medals, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Kuwaiti Liberation Medal, Pistol Marksmanship Medal. He was also authorized to wear the following unit awarded ribbons; Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Fleet Marine Force Ribbon and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. Following his retirement from active duty military, Dr. Plaitano has worked as an Endodontist in Private Practice. He is Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) as well as Trained in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He has many years of experience in the effective use of Anxiolysis Sedation as well as Nitrous Oxide Sedation within his practice.
